I am writing to see if you would be interested in presenting at/participating in the People’s Climate Festival in Richland on April 29th. The event begins at 2 p.m. and concludes with a march at 5 p.m., at the HAPO stage at John Dam Plaza, Richland.

I am working with Tri-Cities Citizens’ Climate Lobby to help plan and coordinate this festival. We envision it as a family friendly festival that will help people of all ages understand climate change, how it affects us all, and what actions we can take to make a difference.

The festival will have educational, hands-on, and experiential activities around care for the earth/climate change science and the arts, and will include informational booths, activities for children and adults, speakers, and performers. Speakers will address climate change concerns from the perspective of their profession: health, religion, environmental policy, renewables energy including nuclear power, and agriculture.

We would love to have you/your organization involved in the festival to help educate the community about climate change. Your involvement could include having an informational booth, a speaker, and/or activities to engage all ages. As a speaker, you would have up to 10 minutes on an outdoor stage. Please let me know if you/your organization would be interested in participating in this event.
